The Hidden Object Show: Season 2
Hidden Object Games, Puzzle Games September 29th, 2008
Gogii Games quickly follows up the success of one of their most fun hidden object games with The Hidden Object Show: Season 2 game, the only virtual game show where you get to have fun playing through a variety of hidden object games while earning awesome prizes in the process. And for this season 2, the game takes you seeking items within the vast area of an amusement park, filled with much of the same clutter you’ll expect from this type of game.
Just like in the original game, your task in here is to play through a day’s episode by playing 4 rounds of hidden object gameplay. The first round is always the traditional find-a-list, but the remaining 3 rounds will have you randomly choose between innovative twists to this genre through a magical crystal ball. And while I know most of you will claim that you’ve already played through most of these game types, well, how about new and innovative types as well like a Hangman-type of hidden object game where you need to spell out the whole item list first before you get to find them.
The whole objective of the game is for you to earn tickets and buy all the trophies sold within the shop. Bonus tickets are hidden within the locations too, and you just have to keep your eyes peeled for you to collect them all.
Really, The Hidden Object Show: Season 2 doesn’t fall short in adding more surprises your way that makes the original less attractive. Included in this are the 3 new mini-games you can play anytime to take a break from all that searching and clicking. The Leap Frog and Clown Shoot are just some of these mini-games, and are basically there to help you earn extra tickets for you to buy those high-priced prizes.
But will all the good things said about this game, I have to admit that I sometimes find the graphics of the sceneries very blurry, making some of the objects hard to distinguish as are listed at the bottom of the screen. However, the overall presentation is very nice and I just loved all the 3D animation and ambient sounds during the actual game. I even suggest those with crappy computers try out the game first before buying, because all that animation spells too much punishment for your old machines.
The game has its hilarious moments too. For example, too many spam clicks will trigger the game to present you a random advertisement, featuring weird made-up products that reflect the wackiness of the game’s development team. Some of the voice-overs are just plain silly and therefore, adds much fun to the actual game.
