Our review for today is on a game that pays homage to old women obsessed with cats. And by that I mean our latest action and arcade game installment: the Super Granny 4 game.

Help the grannies save their kitties!

Ok, the story goes like this: you control three super grannies in a quest to save lots and lots of cats against an evil organization. During this noble quest, you’ll have to run, dig and frying-pan-bash your way against the mysterious organization’s black suited men and their dogs.

Collect medals for more points and when you had collected quite a good batch, you get to add ‘trophies’ on your patched quilt too! As for the reason why you have to do that clearly escaped me while I was playing the game. =P (sorry!)

It’s another damned sequel!!!

As it turns out, granny always loses her kittens. And you have to help her every single time. While I think that the story is stupid, that doesn’t hide the fact that it is one really enjoyable game.

What’s new about the Super Granny 4 game though is the addition of Granny’s friends Kamila and Margaret on some of the levels. These two characters really stepped up the game’s difficulty level since you can’t possibly finish a stage without them helping you around. This means that you have to keep them all on a safe spot at a time while you’re controlling another character.

Ok, so is it any good?

Look, if a game reaches a 4th sequel, it actually means that the game concept is already kick-ass. And since not much was changed from the previous installment and even some were added means that the Super Granny 4 game is better than ever!

I actually liked the fact that you’re controlling multiple grannies on a single stage but sometimes I’m having trouble trying to find an available granny even with the glowing thing under their feet. Maybe the the grannies’ small size and color also contributes to this confusion but it may also be just me. =)

The difficulty curve is perfect too as I guarantee that you’ll spend quite an amount of time trying to perfect a single stage as it gets harder and harder as you go along. So, if you’re looking for a game that can keep you on your toes (or fingers), Super Granny 4 is one perfect choice.
