Do you know one thing the same about all platformer games? Aside from directional controls and a lot of jumping and running around, all of them have objectives. Yes, objectives, but the Pointless Platformer game breaks through that norm as we get to feature today this game, which as the name suggests… doesn’t have any point whatsoever.

What’s the point of giving it a review, you say? Well, I can’t really answer that question because I don’t know the reason myself. So, I guess to start, I’ll just give you guys a brief background and you all go and play and have fun, ok?

In Pointless Platformer, you take the role of a stick figure walking around an area filled with graffiti and moving things. Along your journey within this area, you will encounter burgers (well, I guess you got to eat them), windmills (some of them are for decorations only), and multi-colored buttons that will show you jokes when you press them with your mouse. While you’re actually scored by collecting them burgers, it doesn’t really matter in the end. All that matters is you have fun and enjoy all the scenery, because well, you won’t be doing anything else anyway.

Now, just like most platformer games, Pointless Platformer also involves secrets and surprises like invisible platforms, underwater adventures and zooming elevators. But still, the real highlight of the game is its funny presentation and all the jokes scattered throughout the background. And yes, the game is full of glitches as well, but being made by a 15-year old named Kyaztro for Newgrounds, it’s just not right to complain because the game still very much entertains.
