Onristu
Online Games August 6th, 2008
If I’m gonna go create an imaginary place, it will be filled with happy and cute little bunnies jumping around, frolicking out on an open field, the sky is filled with all the colors of the rainbow, and I’m right in the center, sipping some pineapple juice. Why the heck am I saying this to you? Well, that because the Onristu game coming from st1k and ssjskipp for Kongregate presents a drawn-up world much like that. Honestly, much cuter, but I guess you get the picture.
Onristu is a happy place filled with music, love and umm… happiness. The cute little beings are contented with their way of life as long as they can accompany it with music. You see, Onristu citizens live, eat and breathe for music, but after the vile and silent creatures known as the darkness came and stole their precious sound, they found themselves greatly weakened and in need of a hero.
That’s where you come in. You are the hero in this musical tale. And in order for you to fight against the darkness, you’ll have to muster enough clicking skills to stay with the music and show them silent creatures that sound will win the day.
Anyway, the Onristu game is really a multitasking music game where you have to click on the necessary arrow keys much like SCGMD and Dance Dance Revolution. But one catch about this game though is that the arrow buttons are locked and you have to mouse click on colored enemy faces before you can unlock them. Basically, you just have to unlock these arrow buttons before they reach the white circle, and try to play these keys perfectly too using the keyboard.
In one word, all I can say is that this game is hard. Maybe for those of you who are naturally ambidextrous, this game can be a piece of cake, but you still need a good peripheral vision, and both of these things don’t come in a single person package. While I really loved all the cute goodness of the game, all the clicking, circling and clicking again can be a real pain. But I guess all the challenge is there for a reason, and for those of you who can keep up with such a style, it can be very much addictive too.
