The Jane’s Hotel: Family Hero game is actually the sequel to the famous Time Management casual game, Jane’s Hotel from Realore Studios, where you take control of an entrepreneur named Jane in managing and running her hotel business. But this time, however, Jane is already a successful hotel tycoon as she runs her 5-star hotel from the previous casual game episode. So, what new challenge will it be for this sequel then?

To run and own a chain of world-class hotels of course! And that’s exactly the objective of the Jane’s Hotel: Family Hero game.

In this game, you are tasked to bring back Jane’s heritage by buying back her family’s once-owned chain of hotels. As the story tells us, Jane’s family used to own four hotels located at France, England, Japan and the Canaries. Your task is to loan a hefty sum of money to take control of these hotels and pay the loan back by gaining enough money and prestige from each hotel structure.

As far as being a Time Management installment, the Jane’s Hotel: Family Hero game plays just the same as most casual games coming from this genre. But what’s new about this game is that while most Time Management games let you control only a lone character frantically running about the screen, Jane’s Hotel: Family Hero lets you control three characters - Jane, a maid and a porter, all having their own specific tasks and abilities. And this feature definitely adds a new and interesting layer to the game play.

The Review

The Jane’s Hotel: Family Hero game is fun and I can definitely say that unlike some Time Management games that are just too easy or too hard, this game actually falls average between the two. Yes, the challenge will increase over time, but the game does it in a comfortable and balanced pace enough to not leave you disappointed with the mostly frantic game play.

The graphics are very nice too and I like the funny 3D characters and their silly little actions. The sound blends well to the game and the game play reminds me of Turbo Subs in smoothness. All in all, the game elements are fused perfectly and you’ll just love the challenge presented by the game.

As I said earlier, you also take control of 3 characters in the Jane’s Hotel: Family Hero game. While I really liked the whole idea, I still find it real hard to call on either the maid or the porter every time they are needed. The locations of their “calling” buttons are, in my opinion, inconveniently placed on the bottom corners of the screen and it’s quite frustrating when they hide themselves within their quarters most of the time. But this may be part of the challenge too. Well, who knows, right? :-)
