Ashtons: Family Resort is a time management game offering you the hassles of running your own camping resort, and of course, the fulfillment that comes along with it. That’s because this casual game lets you take control of the Ashton newlyweds as you help them build their dreams of managing a chain of resorts all around the world, and of course, infuse some fun action gaming too in the process.

The Ashtons are just your average everyday newlyweds off to start a happy new life together; however, during a vacation involving deep sea diving, our heroes discovered a chest full of gold coins, which of course, made them very rich. This discovery won’t be for nothing though, as the Ashtons invested the money to buy a camping resort, and are off to expand this business while winning resort competitions along the way.

The mechanics of Ashtons: Family Resort is nothing different, really. All you have to do is to lodge the families on available cabins, cater to their every whim and fancy as they use all of the resort’s many amenities, and collect money afterwards when they finish. There are additional tasks to be fulfilled too like shooing away raccoons and rabbits before they make a mess out of the camp, repair and maintain machines and structures when they break, and my personal favorite: optionally finding the hidden dog, Sammie during each and every level.

All in all, this is really a hectic game and it’s really very fun to play because of that. I loved how queuing works while assigning tasks to the Ashtons and gameplay is so easy to grasp even after just a few runs of the earlier levels. The game is a great challenge too as you expand the camp’s many amenities and services; leaving you with not much room to think during the actual game, but not impossibly difficult too, I might add.

Ashtons: Family Resort also includes a fun match-3 mini game where you get to decorate and improve the Ashton house. Of course, purchasing upgrades to the Ashton resorts is a must, but other than that, you also have an option to give some extra money to charity once they are available. Giving to the in-game charity will earn you gifts which cannot be bought during the actual upgrade screen.

The game also has an additional feature that enables you to change the colors of the Ashton clothes. You can change their clothes anytime before each level, and even though there’s no real benefit to doing this, it still adds a little visual love to the player’s preferences. Adding also to the game’s vibrant graphics and animation, this is really a much welcome feature.

One downside to the game though is that there’s really not much variety in the customer types. All the customers look and act the same, but personally, I don’t care much about this. All I know is that I had fun playing the game, and it’s real worth for you to try it out too.
