Tired of the same old Time Management game featuring cute girls wanting to start their own businesses? Then the Airport Mania: First Flight game from Reflexive Entertainment and South Winds Games may be the breath of fresh air that you’re looking for. Because instead of featuring some fast-running entrepreneur, this game puts you in the shoes of an air traffic controller whose job is to direct… well… air traffic on a total of 8 airports spanning to 84 unique and fun-filled levels. And honestly, I loved the concept very much since I’ve been longing for some change already from the already-common Time Management game themes. ;-)

To sum the objectives short, your job in Airport Mania: First Flight is to queue up airplanes landing and leaving on the runways, drop and fill them up with passengers, and of course, refuel, repaint and repair them all up when needed to ensure them having a safe trip as you send them away. Certain bonuses are also awarded when you accomplish all of these tasks on time, service the planes while keeping mind of their colors, and basically just keep your passengers happy and paying. :-)

But the best part about the Airport Mania: First Flight game though is the many surprises that pops up randomly during play. Some of which I experienced include the arrival of helicopters dropping bags of money, planes containing organ cargoes and women in near labor, and even a plane containing the President! All in all, with some of the secret Easter Eggs also present in this game, comprises such a hilarious looking arcade game delivering you hours and hours of enjoyment. Really, the first time I already seen the funny plane faces, I already knew that this game can be very promising… and as always, I ended up being right. ;-)

In terms of presentation, I liked the simple cartoon graphics of the planes in Airport Mania: First Flight and I enjoyed how their faces change whenever they run out of patience. It’s quite hard though to differentiate the planes from each other, but this is just a minor setback compared to its smooth overall game play. The game can be challenging too on later levels as the planes just keep coming, creating chaos everywhere the area of play. But that’s what we like best about Time Management games anyway, right? And overall, this game is just plain fun and unique and is very deserving of your own view too.
